I've noticed a few people, in ARPG lately, but also in the past, among various sides of the creative community that deals with making up new species, hopping on the trend of giving them binomial (known to laypeople as 'scientific') names. This is pretty awesome! :) Keep doing it, it's nerdy and very cool :thumbsup:
However, I think not everyone is aware that there is a structure to these things, and there are rules to them, too.
The names for animals/plants/fungi are made up of two parts: the first name is the genus, and the second name is the species. If there is a third name, it is the subspecies.
